Future

B1.1

I used to correct everything with my mother and that taught me a lot about how to write and sort of overcome my dyslexia. I intend to start doing this again because this will improve my writing skills and that is very useful for the future.

The competency SCA I did not spend very much time on and I intend to do this in the next semester because at the end of the year I need to be developed over all the competencies. Also this is a competency you need to master if you would be a designer or else you would not know how to reach your customers.

In our project we made a huge mistake by not interviewing people that own a folding bike. This would be our future customer and we did not even ask them what they would think about our project or if the even need our product. We could have used their feedback on our project to improve in and respond to the customer’s needs. This is something I intent to do better in the future.

'You are very willing to accept advice, but become slightly defensive when you receive criticism. You also still need to maintain a critical attitude towards your own work, without external prompting, during your design process. You have a tendency to stay "on the safe side” and avoid risk. Consequently, your design process tends to remain rigid. This was especially visible in your prototype work. You need to be more flexible, be prepared to react and adapt to changing or surprising conditions within the design process, and to explore further, if necessary. You certainly have the potential and energy to achieve far more, if you can avoid this rigidity in process.' Coach: Janine Huizenga
